The Crews Residence is a custom pool home in Cocoa Beach. The client brought me a specific wish list which included amenities in the master suite, a sauna in the pool bath, and the abutting sliding glass doors in the family room. The client's facade tastes and my design sensibilities fell right in line to create a quasi cracker-classical elevation that fits the community well. The abutting sliding glass doors posed a structural dilemma in that there would be no structural corner. My solution was a cast-in-place concrete 'T' beam that allows the ceiling to float above the large expanse of glass at the corner. A project that met all of my client's expectations.
